Hear what our happy clients have to say about Paws ‘n’ Claws Training! We take pride in helping dogs and their owners build strong, trusting relationships through positive and effective training.
I would highly recommend Paws n Claws Training, I took part in group training sessions last year with my dog Rocket (working cocker spaniel).
I had massive problems with the simple task of walking Rocket on a lead where he would pull and jump whenever out. Keeping his attention to get any tasks done. Now I can take him out and walks are enjoyable I feel in control. This has made so much of a difference. If you need help you’re looking in the right place!!
Thank you again for your help, we loved the classes x

I took my wee rescue bulldog to training classes last year when she was having a hard time getting used to all the different doggies she would meet in the outside world, and it really has changed her life for the better We learned how to handle meeting other dogs which helped not only her confidence but mine too!
We also learned how to approach reward based training for everything she was struggling with, like potty training, eating things she’s not supposed to and grooming.
She’s come on in leaps and bounds and is such a happy wee dog since finding her forever home. I couldn’t have done it without the classes and they were worth every penny and more!!

Had 4 sessions with Chelsea after our young Labrador, Milo, started growling at us and bit my husband. Milo had recently undergone extensive surgery for undescended testicles and had been in a lot of pain during his recovery. He got himself into quite a pickle and wasn’t happy when he then got a tick in his groin a couple of months later which he wouldn’t allow us to remove. So we were stuck and quite confused (and scared!) Chelsea helped us to ‘reset’ him back to the happy chap he was pre surgery.
I would absolutely recommend Chelsea but you will need to put the work in, follow the guidance and learn to walk before you can run as these problems don’t get fixed in the first session. Looking back I can see how each session built on the previous one and we needed a few weeks in between sessions to reinforce the training (which was easily achieved). I’m so glad we nipped this in the bud and it’s evident that Milo is a much happier, calmer dog now. No growling and definitely no biting anymore.

Ares has just finished another training day with Chelsea, we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves leaning new tips & tricks for focus, we met at cooper park which had so much distractions for all the dogs in the group, Ares is now giving it big zzz on his couch as he’s exhausted.
Fantastic as always Chelsea looking forward to next class

I recently had the pleasure of attending a 1:1 season. and I couldn't be more impressed. Chelsea’s knowledge and expertise in canine behavior and training techniques were truly outstanding. What really stood out was Chelsea’s positive attitude and approach. She created a welcoming and supportive environment, ensuring both me and my dog felt at ease right from the start. Her training methods were tailored specifically to my dog's needs and personality, leading to significant progress in just one session. Overall, I highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking to enhance their bond with their furry friend while achieving real results. It was an amazing experience that exceeded all my expectations.

Dougal loves his training sessions with Chelsea! We have a great time and he always comes away with new things to try. Chelsea is a great trainer, down to earth and really keen to get you and your dog working together.

Wilson has come on leaps and bounds recently and I couldn’t of done it without Chelsea Cowie from Paws ‘n’ Claws Training help Some may know I’ve been shadowing Chelsea over the past year or so now to learn as much as I can. Wilson has improved slowly with coming on neutrality walks with me and gradually getting more confident with people but recently I’ve seen a big switch in him and myself to learn how to deal with his reactivity (why he’s reacting & how to prevent it) and he’s coming on so well! This is him in one of Chelsea’s classes this week whilst other dogs were moving about and doing things that he would usually react to. Now he’s learnt self control and to look to me when he’s feeling uncomfortable instead of taking it on by himself. Really proud of him.
I would recommend Chelsea to anyone (and I do to all of my customers lol) Her classes are great and her knowledge is so good. She also does 1-1s so don’t worry if classes feel a bit daunting.

Chelsea really goes the extra mile to help both the dog (mine’s a little Cockapoo) and handler (me, an “oldie” who’s seriously inconsistent ). My dog is anxious with bigger dogs and Chelsea has really helped her with her confidence. My dog is much calmer now around large/barky dogs.
We do Scentwork and Chelsea’s training has been great. Really focusing on what we, as a team, need.
We have also done obedience/tricks which has been great fun, and great for confidence building.
Chelsea’s Mantrailing sessions have been awesome! She sets amazing, and challenging searches.
We are going to miss Chelsea enormously when she returns to Bonnie Scotland and wish her huge success for the future!

Chelsea has been an absolute godsend with our GSD MAL.
She has helped us fall back in love with working our dog, and enabled us to get his barky little self out and about through helping us to understand his behaviour and what his triggers are.
No judgement, no stress, genuinely the most incredible, supportive trainer! No question is too stupid, or too many, and she always has a really down to earth response. So sad to be loosing her back up north!

I have just finished a 6 week block of training with Chelsea, she is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very approachable. From the minute Chelsea met me and my strong willed, no boundaries Labrador she was offering advice and guidance and the best bit is it worked!!!!
It really felt like Chelsea knew my dog, what he needed and was happy to share that knowledge with me! I didn't once feel judged and my confidence has continued growing in the 6 weeks so I can be the best dog owner I can for my boy
The classes covered so much but never felt rushed.
I love that it all took place in real life situations rather than just party tricks in a sterile environment that I would struggle to transfer to every day life!
The WhatsApp group set up was so valuable for us to share successes during the week and ask advice and Chelsea was on hand to answer any questions!!
My only complaint is that the 6 weeks went way too quickly and I will miss the Tuesday evening group!!
I highly recommend Chelsea and her training and hope to do some more soon

On one of our first training sessions with Chelsea my daft dog hurt his paw. Without a second thought she picked up a doggo almost half her size and carried him to somewhere we could get a proper look. I was sold. She simply loves dogs and they love her in return - my boys simply adore her. She has supported and challenged us to really
Improve and dog training won’t be the same without her. We also did puppy class with Chelsea and she was so patient with us and our new pup, helping us to get the basics in place. I’ve also had the pleasure of judging scentwork alongside Chelsea and watching her own scentwork journey which has been a real pleasure. Buckie you are very lucky to have this trainer in your midst - our loss is your gain.

Without a doubt we would recommend Chelsea as a trainer and man trailing instructor. She is very caring towards both our high drive springer spaniel and us as owners. She works and adapts constantly to ensure every dog is successful. She is approachable and always answers ‘the daft question’ with experience and clarity. Her bond with Buzz is clear to see and we will be so sorry to see her leave Bedfordshire. Anyone who gets the opportunity to train with Chelsea should take it.
